YOKOHAMA, Japan, Sept. 18, 2017– Maile O’Keefe of Las Vegas/Salcianu Elite Academy of Gymnastics, and Emma Malabuyo of Flower Mound, Texas/Texas Dreams Gymnastics, won the balance beam and floor exercise gold medals, respectively, on the final day of competition at the International Junior Gymnastics Competition at the Yokohama (Japan) Cultural Gymnasium. Brody Malone of Summerville of Ga./Cartersville Twisters, won the silver medal on the horizontal bar, and Kevin Penev of Penfield, N.Y./RGA finished fourth on vault.

YOKOHAMA, Japan, Sept. 15, 2017 – Led by U.S. junior all-around champions Brody Malone of Summerville, Ga./Cartersville Twisters, and Maile O’Keefe of Las Vegas/Salcianu Elite Academy of Gymnastics, four U.S. athletes will participate in this weekend’s International Junior Gymnastics Competition in Yokohama, Japan. Competition, which will be held at the Yokohama Cultural Gymnasium, runs Sept. 17-18 with all-around competition followed by event finals.

ANAHEIM, Calif., Aug. 20, 2017 – Maile O'Keefe of Las Vegas, Nev./Salcianu Elite Academy of Gymnastics, won the junior all-around title with her 114.450 total at the 2017 P&G Championships at Honda Center in Anaheim, Calif. Emma Malabuyo of Flower Mound, Texas/Texas Dreams Gymnastics, followed with a 112.450. Kara Eaker of Grain Valley, Mo./Great American Gymnastics Express, rounded out the top three with 111.250. The women’s competition wraps up later today with the senior women’s final session.

JESOLO, Italy, April 2, 2017 – Team USA brought home 12 medals during the apparatus finals of the Jesolo (Italy) Trophy today. In the senior competition, the U.S. won four medals including golds on the balance beam and floor exercise from Riley McCusker of Brielle, N.J./MG Elite, and Abby Paulson of Coon Rapids, Minn./Twin City Twisters, respectively. In the junior competition, the U.S. won eight medals, with event title wins from Gabby Perea of Geneva, Ill./Legacy Elite, vault and uneven bars, and Emma Malabuyo, Flower Mound, Texas/Texas Dreams, floor exercise.

MONTREAL, March 12, 2017 – Team USA won the junior team title, as reigning junior U.S. champion Maile O’Keefe of Las Vegas/Salcianu Elite, grabbed the all-around title last night at the Gymnix International in Montreal, Canada. The U.S.’s Gabby Perea of Geneva, Ill./Legacy Elite, finished second in the junior all-around standings, with Emma Malabuyo of Flower Mound, Texas/Texas Dreams, in fourth. Sunisa Lee of Saint Paul, Minn./Midwest Gymnastics Center, rounded out the gold medal team, taking 14th in the all-around standings.
